Synopsis: The story is set during the Eastern Liang dynasty. Circus performer Ye Ningzhi (He Hong-Shan) enters the palace and stages a performance to celebrate the birthday of the empress dowager. She is framed for treason by the ambitious grand princess, but saved by the strategist Wei Guang (Xu Zhengxi), who falls in love at first sight with her.
