The Golden Melody Awards is Taiwan’s equivalent of the Grammy Awards and celebrates the best of Taiwanese musical achievements in Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka and Formosan languages. Presented by the Ministry of Culture, the 27th Golden Melody Awards was held on June 25, 2016, at the Taipei Arena. The corresponding Golden Melody Festival was held June 22-24 at the hotel Humble House Taipei.
